Google has made it amazingly simple to call phones from your computer – and free to the U.S. and Canada! According to their blog, it will be free for the rest of the year, at the least. All you have to do is get a gmail account, if you don’t already have one, then sign into the chat on the side, download the plugin, and start making calls! If you have a Google Voice account, your Google Voice number will show as the outgoing caller ID.
